Octo enables insurance companies to offer insurance models such as ‘Pay-Per-Use’ or ‘Pay-As-You Drive’ as well as other services including stolen vehicle recovery, automatic crash notification (eCall), crash-data recording, and real-time traffic data.

In February 2014, Octo Telematics was acquired by Renova Group.
